Now little known, Édmée de Castéra (or Castellerat) is one of the only French authors to have written only novels of this genre. A very nice copy in a contemporary Swedish binding signed by J. F. Stangenberg of Stockholm. Dull corners. Four leaves partially disbound in volume I. Restoration with slight damage to the text on page 11 of the second volume, as well as on page 57 of volume 4 without damage to the text. A few rare foxing and scattered stains.
