GRACQ, Julien (1910-2007). Le Rivage des Syrtes. Paris : Librairie José Corti, [1951]. - In-8, paperback. The year edition of the original of one of the great novels of the twentieth century, awarded the Goncourt the year of its release, a prize that the author refused. It is not only the author's best-known work but also his major work in the field of fiction. Copy on edition paper, bearing on the title the mention of "115th mile", bearing the printing completion dated December 30, 1951. Beautiful sending of the author: To Mr. Pierre Lhoste // in memory of a session // of "third degree" // cordial homage from // Julien Gracq Spine partly rebacked and showing brown traces left by the glue. Tears with missing first white sheet.
