On the sermons he wrote for his films, on the occasion of the publication of the book Les Sermons de Marcel Pagnol, presented by Norbert Calmels (Robert Morel, 1967) in the form of an answer to two questions: "Why did you write several sermons?" and "How come these sermons were published and prefaced by the Premonstratensian abbot general? In this reply, Pagnol mentions the sermons written by Father Gaucher and the Curé de Cucugnan in the film Lettres de mon moulin (Letters from my Windmill), partly shot at Frigolet Abbey, the one written for Manon des Sources, and the story of the collection prepared by Dom Calmels.
