Bernard CLAVEL (1923-2010). Autograph manuscript, L'Espion aux yeux verts, and 20 L.A.S. and 2 L.S., 1961-1977, to Pierre LHOSTE; 20 pages and a half in -4; 26 pages in-4 and in-8, 4 postcards and 2 cards with drawings of B Clavel, 5 envelopes. The Spy with green eyes. Manuscript with some erasures and corrections of a radio short story, which puts in scene a 60 years old man, alone in his apartment who listens and comments the noises of the neighbors and the street... The correspondence revolves around the radio and television programs that Clavel records or in which he participates (notably Lectures pour tous). He thanks Lhoste for having received the painter Engel-Pak (1962). In order to prepare a program about writers from Lyon, he gives names and addresses: Louis Calaferte, Joseph Jolinon, Pierre Molaine, Xavier Salomon, Raoul Bécousse and proposes to go and see the publisher Robert Morel for an issue of the program La Maison de vos rêves. In 1976, he has for him a book "too precious and too heavy for me to entrust it to the post office. I put it aside for you, as a reminder of the time when you were about the only one talking about me. It is a luxury Pirates of the Rhone, as they say, illustrated by Dermakarian"... In 1977, he evokes the book of Gilbert Cesbron Ce qu'on appelle vivre, in the collection Les grands auteurs directed by Claude Glayman at Stock, whose words are collected by Maurice Chavardès: "I believe that there is not only Chavardès to "collect the words" as they say. You should think of some authors you know and write to Glayman"...
