EAST of Europe Two saltcellars which can form pair in agate, re-use of hard stones probably antique godronnées on the external surface, the mounting in vermeil. They stand on three feet with scrolls extended by helmeted heads. The pedestal is embossed with foliage, the baluster shaft of an alternation of gadroons and rows of pearls. The agates are maintained by leaves of different model on the edges in imitation of a capital motif.
