The saint's name in Greek "O osios Symeon o Stylites" (Saint Symeon the Stylite) and in Arabic "Al-bâr Samʿân al-ʿÂmûdî" (The Righteous Simeon Stylite). On the scroll, inscription in Arabic: "All those who flee the world draw near to [Him?]".
