Marking " 49 " under the tie. Straight blade with gutters, stamped "S étoile" (Schütz, 2nd class controller under the Second Empire) and engraved on the back "Maufre Impale de Châtellerault avril 1854". The end of the blade has a thin gutter on the top of the blade. Regulation shortened. Sheet steel scabbard with two bracelets and symmetrical stinger. Lt : 1024 mm - Ll : 856 mm - ll : 30 mm - Dd : 15,5 mm B.E. Produced at 150 pieces.
