Unattributed "Donné par le Roi" award saber, model 1817. Handle covered with stingray with filigree, silver-plated brass mounting (wear), three-prong guard and shell with the arms of France. Quillon with fleur-de-lys curved towards the point and stamped with Versailles. Straight blade with flat back engraved "Manufre Rle du Klingenthal novembre 1814", with counter-edge, double hollow sides punched at the heel and engraved "Vive le Roi". Scabbard in strong black leather with three silver plated brass trimmings punched with two rings, iron sting. A black braided strap with gold tassel is attached.
