The complete title, inscribed in gilt capital letters in a green frame, with laurel wreath ornament, is : Conduitte pour une ame que Dieu apelle a l'oraison de simplicité affin de luy aider dans sa voye a estre fidèle a Dieu. The manuscript, regulated, of a neat and very readable writing, with titles, headings and pagination in red ink, is decorated in head of a painted and gilded initial and of armorial bearings of a prelate of the family of Lorraine. An inscription "vingt huitieme" indicates that this book of piety was part of a series. A "Table des choses contenues dans ce livre" (Table of the things contained in this book) has been drawn up at the end.
