Sarah BERNHARDT. 2 L.A.S. and an autograph bill with drawing, to Baron Du Bourdieu, maritime prefect of Toulon; 1 page in-12 and 7 pages in-16 with his figure, emblem and motto. Amusing correspondence. "You are Mr. Baron an indecent Sub-Prefect. You have slept enough. Wake up!... and let's laugh!" She received his letter announcing another one, "but not the other one that this one announced to me. I think it's because you didn't write it, and I take the liberty, with all due respect to your respectable plucked head, of reminding you of your good promise"... "You !.... will be !!! That's for sure! They!!!..... It is touching oh! oh!... Here are the seven pages!"; she draws a bleeding heart pierced with a sword with the caption "This is not a comparison!"
