Rare artist's book by Martine Lafon with extreme virtuosity. Pinocchio is, in part, born from the meeting in Italy of George Sand and Carlo Collodi following the Tales of a grandmother and the puppet theater of Nohant where Martine Lafon was invited in residence of artist. Trained at the Beaux-arts of Saint-Etienne and Nîmes and graduated from the Beaux-arts of Paris, she has been involved since the early nineties in the regular publication of artist's books. Her color is red. Alternation of red and white sheets, eleven red linocuts, installed with surprises, in the flaps of the leporello. Red typography, elegant and airy, limiting to a few lines the poetry of Gilbert Lascault. Edition of 20 copies, signed and numbered, all unique since the covers are decorated with two original drawings in red pencil, n° 3.
