FRASCHETTI (Vincenzo). TESTI (C. V.).
Italia dall'A alla Z.
Poesie di Vincenzo Fraschetti. Commento grafico di C. V. Testi. A cura della Direzione Generale Italiani all'Estero. [By the General Directorate of Italians abroad]. Stampato nelle Officine dell' Instituto geografico de Agostini in Novara nell'anno dell'Impero [Printed in the workshops of the Geographic Institute of Agostini in Novara in the year of the Empire] - XIV E. F. [Era Fascista]. [1936]. In-4 (25 x 23 cm). (88) pp. light gray cloth spine, plates illustrated in color, a stone wall with an opening in the form of stylized beam, showing red Italy surrounded by blue sea, on the first, same wall where are carved beam lying, crown and star, on the second.

Unique edition. The most sought-after and beautiful fascist primer illustrated with eighty-five modernist color compositions, half of them on the double page, by the Italian painter, sculptor and graphic designer, Carlo Vittorio Testi (1902-2005).
Mussolini, son of a schoolteacher, and a teacher himself, wanted the people's school to be the place of indoctrination of childhood. He attached the utmost importance to these elementary school books. In this purely fascist culture, he called on painters at the forefront of artistic research, such as Testi of the futurist movement. His dynamic illustrations are made, for the most part, with airbrush.
Four pages per initial, underlined by its lower case, including a central double page with the text in cursive writing of color of the writer for children Vincenzo Fraschetti (1887-1976).
The twenty-one letters of the Italian alphabet are to the glory of the Duce, the modernity of the country and the new territories conquered, as well as the preface of the military and fascist politician Piero Parini (1894-1993). A book for Italian children abroad.
From A, Anno to Z, Zara, Italian province of Dalmatia between 1922 and 1944.
Small rubs on the cuts and the spine.
