(12) ff. of strong cardboard [(24) pp.] : publisher's hardback, turquoise cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color, shadow scene and framed with flowers and letters. First edition, without mention of publisher. Twelve sheets of strong cardboard lithographed on both sides, each page with a different color. Illustrations in shading at the head, initials in the center, accompanied by two verses referring to the occurrence, and rich decoration in frames. Later editions list D. Viel as the illustrator. Simon Abramsz (1867-1924) was a remarkable Dutch author for children. In perfect condition. Provenance: Hermien and Gerard Brantas, with their bookplate.
