Joint: - 1 portrait charge of Louis Blanc by Nadar, extracted from the Journal pour Rire (1852).
Very rare.
For the authors of this journal, of which a specimen had been published in September 1833, it was a question of "developing, in order to popularize them in all classes, the principles common to the republican school, of defending them against the sophisms and the false representations of the advocates of privilege and aristocracy, and of showing how their application would offer to all legitimate interests a protection and a security that they would vainly seek in any other system" (Hatin, p. 392).
