Set of five talismanic cases, North Africa, late 19th - early 20th century Rectangular in shape and closed with a lid, two in silver and two in metal with chased decoration, one in brass with silver trim. The largest, with plant decoration containing a medallion on one side, a star on the other, suspended by a double chain punctuated with cylindrical and spherical openwork pearls and decorated with Moroccan dirham pendants and coral pearls; the second (silver low-title) with domed lid, plant decoration incorporating a coin on each side, suspended by a chain; the third one with star decoration on a rosette background; the fourth one (in low-title silver) with an openwork niche decoration on a vegetal background on one side, a stylized rosette on the back, foreign and Maghrebian coins suspended from chains as pendants; the fifth one in brass decorated with chased silver plates forming a vegetal decoration.
