Large Quran box, Morocco, 20th century Rectangular in shape with a curved hinged lid, made of copper alloy partly plated with metallic leaves with chiseled decoration, and decorated with filigree and colored glass paste cabochons forming an oval medallion framed by four spandrels. Two side handles and metal mesh with diamond-shaped trimmed with blue and red pearls highlighting the base. Interior lined with red velvet.
