Paris : Gabriel de Gonet, 1847. - 2 parts in one volume in-8, half lemon morocco with corners, gilt filets, spine with gilt and mosaic motifs, gilt edges (Pagnant). First edition of this famous collection of tales inspired by flowers and composed by Alphonse Karr, Taxile Delord and Louis-François Raban, the latter presented under the pseudonym of Count Fœlix. A first edition copy, in second state, recognizable in particular by the mention " Fin de la première partie " at the bottom of page 262. A very nice copy bound by Pagnant. Rubbing to the headpieces and corners. Spine and edges of boards browned. Stains on pages 200 and 201, as well as on the plate which is between these pages, representing the Hemlock.
