He has no play in his boxes, and is unable to write a tragedy. He spoke about the project to a young author: "we could perhaps between us make a play with a great spectacle with dances, choirs, and a libretto partly in verse, partly in prose". But he fears that there is not enough time to do the music. "It would be an action that would take place in the Byzantine period, with very elegant costumes and a very sumptuous decor...
