Born in Lublin, the artist spent much of her life in Australia, finally returning to Europe in 2000 and settling in the South of France. Her three-dimensional forms constructed with a crochet needle earned her a place in the "Wall Hangings" exhibition at MoMA in 1969 alongside Magdalena Abakanowicz, among others. After her return to the Old World, Pachucka returned to the printmaking technique using textiles.
