"The album Apocalypse de saint Jean de Redon is different from those of the Nabis in that it refuses the color advocated by Vollard. The master of black takes up, through the revelations of the saint, the theme of the journey of the spirit, dear to symbolism. From print to print, the amateur is invited to join this mystical adventure, in the intimacy of his cabinet. He is guided by the captions of the lithographs that quote the last book of the New Testament and introduce in the Vollard editions a new relationship to the text." (Clara Roca, cartel of the exhibition "Limited Edition, Vollard, Petiet and the Master Print", exhibition at the Petit Palais, Paris, May 19-August 29, 2021).
