Edition of 1045 numbered copies on wove paper, illustrated with seventy-eight color compositions by the cartoonist and humorist Georges HAUTOT (1887-1963), including one on the cover, sixty-five in the text and twelve out of text. HEAD COPY, NUMBER 1, enriched with a suite on vellum of the twelve off-texts and ALL THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS plus one not retained for the cul-de-lampe of chapter XII. The total is seventy-nine drawings, seventy-eight of which were used in the printing of the book, each bearing pencil indications. They are not signed and some have a pencil or ink sketch on the back. The suite and the drawings are kept in a separate folder, identical to the one of the book. A very well preserved copy in spite of the partially uncropped first booklet.
