It is illustrated with seventy-three original woodcuts by Henri BARTHÉLÉMY (1884-1977), including one on the frontispiece, one on the title, one on the back cover and the others in the text, at the head of a chapter or in the cul-de-lampe. UNIQUE COPY ON OLD JAPON À LA FORME, BEARING THE NUMBER 1, ENRICHED WITH ALL THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS SIGNED BY THE ARTIST, USED FOR THE ILLUSTRATION. Beautiful copy in modern binding.
