It is enriched on the false title with an autograph quatrain signed by the author, corresponding to the beginning of the poem entitled Ne nous plainons pas appearing on page 33 of the collection. A very fine copy bound by Canape for the banker and bibliophile Raymond Claude-Lafontaine (1866-1914), secretary of the Société Normande du Livre Illustré, whose bookplate in gilt letters has been applied by the binder to the bottom of the frame of the first lining.
