Dark brown morocco, double gilt fillet framing the boards, smooth spine decorated with gilt and mosaic patterns of dark green and red morocco, gilt lace framing the inside, bronze moiré silk lining and endpapers, double guards, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, slipcase (Vve Simon). First edition in bookstore, with the title printed in red and black. It appeared one month after the real original which had been printed in ten copies for the Académie Française, and which is distinguished by its title in black. One of the 100 copies on Hollande numbered and initialled by the publisher, very well bound. Minor wear to the covers, fragile slipcase.
