First edition of the second and last year of this very rare almanac, a real directory of the prostitutes of Paris, intended for travelers and foreigners.

Each prostitute is presented with sometimes surprising and funny comments. One finds there the names of famous women like Vestris at the Richelieu theater, "a woman of great depth and very learned; one can study her like a grammar; she knows very well how to tune the genres", Saint-Huberty, "of an extreme tenderness; she resembles the God of Music, by the taste and by the hair; she makes credit", etc. But the majority are unknowns like Le Noir, "former novice nun of the Ursuline order; tall brunette, pretty leg, phisionomy, a jewel of a reasonable size, & sufficiently furnished", Lescot "rue Taitbout; natural daughter of Clairval, who has always loved women passionately; she looks a bit like her father", etc.

The "Demoiselles du Palais-Royal", with their qualities and faults, and the "abbesses of Cithère", i.e. the boarders of the houses of joy, are separated at the end.

Copy enriched with the following booklet, bound at the end :
- Le Jardin d'amour, Où est enseignée la méthode et adresse pour bien entretenir une Maîtresse, Ensemble les Lettres et Réponses pour l'un et l'autre sexe. Toulouse : from the printing house of J.-M. Corne, [end of XVIIIe-beginning of XIXe century]. - 32 pp.

Popular edition of this booklet very much in vogue between the 17th and 19th centuries, a true manual of manners dispensing advice and warnings to those who wish to find love: "How the Lover should behave in his clothes and gestures. - Love speech To accost a girl in the company of many, and declare his love to her. - How to pray to the parents at the wedding, by two of the closest parents of the boy and the girl..."

The work ends with a poem entitled Les Récréations et devis des amoureux followed by examples of letters, notably of protestation of love and fidelity, of complaint about a scorn, etc

.
