Imperial Guard mounted hunters saber. Handle covered with basane (wear, missing watermark). Brass hilt with one branch and two shuttle-like pommels. Curved blade (traces of punches including that of Mouton), with flat back engraved "Mfture Imple du Klingenthal Coulaux Frères", counter-edge and hollow sides (pitting). One of the sides stamped "D 80". Brass scabbard with a leather hollow, two large trimmings and reinforcing rod with two rings of suspension. E.M. (strong traces of service, in particular by its blows of spurs). First Empire period.
