Small cylindrical copper alloy box, Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912 )Gilded and patinated black, decorated in gold and silver damascene on the top of the lid with two tsuru (red-headed cranes) holding young pine branches in their beaks, and all around, young pine shoots and rocks near a stream.
