[Gérard de NERVAL]. Maurice TOURNEUX (1849-1917). Manuscript signed in part autograph, Gérard de Nerval, [1887]; 14 pages in-4

Manuscript used for the printing of the 3rd issue of L'Age du Romantisme*, collection directed by Philippe Burty. We quote the conclusion: "The already distant disappearance of the rue de Vieille Lanterne has delivered the shadow of the poet from the odious pilgrimage of which it would have provided the pretext; but, it must be confessed, without this rather banal "miscellaneous fact", Gérard's name would be known today only to the literati who have long since assigned to his exquisite works the rank to which they will be entitled as long as the French language and thought resist the assaults from which they have so far emerged victorious."
