An ancient and beautiful male waka sona statuette, probably a blolo bian (a husband from the afterlife), adorned with scarification marks and sporting a finely carved braided beard like his headdress, he stands on an engraved base. His flat hands, the curves of the body volumes, and the scarifications at the edge of the mouth are characteristic of a master's hand, or of one of his disciples, whose style has become a school. Baule, Ivory Coast Wood, necklace of beautiful old white pearls with a gilded bronze pendant, beautiful patina of use.
