Mirza Agha Emami (1881-1955), The Return of the Hunt and Trade, Iran, 20th century, signed Two gouaches and gold on paper, the first representing a trade scene, an old man having his merchandise weighed by two merchants, in the presence of an assembly of men, the second representing a rider returning from the hunt and having the slaughtered game brought to his palace. Each signed at the bottom and mounted in a floral margin illuminated with gold and polychrome, probably an old Qur'an margin if we are to believe the inscriptions of subdivisions of the text.
