Very old warrior's armband with engraved decorations of an archaic pattern and in particular of three spirals. The curvature of these armbands worn above the elbow was obtained by dipping the tortoise shell in hot water. North coast of Papua New Guinea Large sea turtle shell, old wear, very nice patina.
