JEAN TRANCHANT (1904-1972 )Celestial figures or Volleymakers, very probably unique piece, circa 1930Rare and interesting modernist clock. Proof in nickel-plated metal. The two figures, treated in cut-out, rest on a platform with a step received by a circular base and support, for the one of the silhouettes, a circle studded with balls forming thus dial and, for the other, a sphere. The central ball hosts, inside, the movement and outside, the hands (not original). Missing a small ball on the circle, hands changed. Height : 38 cmArchive : A photograph of our clock (or of an identical model) is kept in the Fonds Thérèse Bonney under the n° BNN01094 ; managed by the Ministry of Culture - Médiathèque de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine .
