A very fine proof on strong imitation japan, before the bevels, signed and dated "1886" in pencil (without the large pencil initials on the verso), prior to the edition for the album of the Royal Society of Belgian Aquafortists (1901). Title in pencil in the center of the lower margin. Small traces of oxidation in the upper corners (related to remnants of old mounting on verso) and a light band along the right edge. All margins [284 x 200]. Unidentified collector's stamp on verso.
