Publisher's cardboard with illustrated dust jacket and rhodoïd. First edition of this sought-after monograph on Marc CHAGALL (1887-1985). It is decorated, apart from numerous reproductions of works and photos in black and in color, with 15 original lithographs, including one on the dust jacket, one on the title and 13 off-text (11 in color and 2 in black). Four of the hors-texts are on double page. A very well preserved copy despite a small tear in the dust jacket and some missing parts on the edge of the rhodoïd.
