Double issue, 37-38, constituting volume X of the magazine Verve, including the reproduction of the drawings that Marc CHAGALL (1887-1985) had "executed in 1958 and 1959 on biblical themes that he had not generally treated in his illustration for the Bible, engraved in etching and which was reproduced in the issue of 33/34 of Verve" (justification). Beginning with a preface signed by Gaston Bachelard, the edition includes 96 reproductions in black and 25 lithographs in color, including one on the cartonnage, specially made for the book. A very well preserved copy with only a few minor rubs from use, not serious.
