A copy decorated with a rare gilt framed plate attributable to Pierre-Paul Dubuisson, already used in the early 1750's. It is not listed by Rahir . In the center are the arms of Étienne-François de Choiseul (1719-1785), count, marquis and then duke of Stainville, de Choiseul d'Amboise, officer, successively lieutenant general, ambassador to Rome and then to Vienna, state councillor, secretary of state for foreign affairs, war and the navy. He was also governor of Touraine. Head cover and corners skilfully restored.
