Before Pierre Etienne Du Ponceau, notary public for the Republic of Pennsylvania, Joseph Bonaparte "makes and constitutes His Eminence Monsignor Cardinal Fesch, residing in Rome, his general and special procurator, to whom he gives the power, for him and in his name, to manage and administer all his goods and affairs present and future in all the extent of Europe [...] To pursue all trials, instances and actions"... etc. The other expedition gives again in Italian a power of attorney to the cardinal Fesch, six years later, and carries apostilles signed by Florentine personalities.
A manuscript of Du PONCEAU, Preface of the work of M. Sismondi (3 p. in-4) is joined.
