Paul VERLAINE. L.A., Hôpital Broussais November 1891, to Raoul Ponchon; 1 page in-12 (on the back of administrative paper of the Assistance publique; small crack in the fold repaired). "Roques owes me 310 francs if I have to count 2 Chansons pour Elle not inserted, but sent by Roques to Lasnier. In case I have to deduct these 2 songs (50 fr.) that would make only 260 fr. As he owes money to the owner of his hotel, he will only have "60 nice and good francs left. How can I get them from a man who is always evading? I write by this mail to Lasnier [...] and threatening him or Roques, of pursuits "name of God"! "... He begs Ponchon to give him "the possible help", and he adds: "Sick. In hospital again"...
