Staff officer sword. Spindle with squared ebony plates, chased and gilded brass mount, cap enriched with vegetal friezes and staff's lightning bolts. Guard with a leafy branch, openwork keyboard decorated with flags, musical instruments, lictor beams, a radiant sun with a human face and lions' heads, topped by a silver medallion chased with an antique helmet, a flag and a lictor beam. Triangular blade engraved, gilded, blued in third (wear). Antique leather scabbard with two brass fittings. B.E. First Empire period.
