This work is a collection of texts that Colette devoted to her cats, coming from the various works she had published until then. It appeared in the collection "Scènes de la vie des bêtes" directed by Elian-J. Finbert. The edition is illustrated with a photo of Colette with one of her cats on the cover and 16 black photographs of cats distributed on 8 leaves out of text. Press copy, offered by Colette to her friend the poet, critic and essayist Léo Larguier (1878-1950), with this autograph sending : " Dear Léo Larguier, // happy new year to you, - and // to me, who are // suffering, // with all my heart // Colette " Very nice copy in an unsigned but good binding .
