Precious copy of proofs having belonged to the author, of this work on the Goncourts of which Alidor Delzant was one of the executors. The title bears the address of G. Masson whereas the original edition bears that of Charpentier. The author's name is also misspelled "Alidor Delzaut". The text has no corrections, simply the stamp "imprimerie de la cour d'appel - Gaston Née" repeated on several pages and that of "G. Rougier & Cie" on page 1. Only the table leaf, bound at the end, bears corrections and indications in the author's hand. A good copy despite the faded spine and ink stains on the first cover. It bears the author's bookplate engraved by Loviot on the first lining.
