In the lower left corner, an inscription in black ink in nasta'liq calligraphy giving in Persian "kar reza abbassi ast" / "made by Reza e-Abbassi", thus falsely attributing the painting to the great official painter of the court of the Safavid sovereign Shah Abbas I.
