Two sundials made of wood and paper. One of them, large, has a garland decoration and an octagonal dial with a beautiful polychromy. The reverse side has a decoration of vine leaves and the latitude of European cities. The bottom of the compass is signed E.CH.Stockert for Ernst Christoph Stockert (1746-1811). The other one is smaller with a circular dial and a decoration of garland, flowers and grapes. The dial is unsigned and the compass glass is missing. The dial has on the back the names of European cities. Both dials are missing their thread. German work, late 18th - early 19th century. Dim large dial : 9,5 cm x 7 cm Dim small dial : 6,5 cm x 4,5 cm
