One of 550 copies on vélin des Vosges, and more specifically one of the 50 hors commerce on this paper (n° LX). Copy enriched with a portrait of Colette from a photograph by Henri Manuel, cut out of a postcard by Colette herself who wrote on the front: "an old photo from 1925", and on the back this correspondence addressed to Claude Farrère: "Grand Claude. It's yes for both copies. But do you even suspect that the Second Door is the most beautiful and chaste book you have ever written? Thank you, Claude. I send you a kiss. I just got home. I've got this leg. Colette." As usual, Claude Farrère did not fail to add details in the letter, including the date, indicating "Paris, August 1945" on the left edge of the card. A very well preserved copy, despite two small restorations to the cover.
