Les Misérables by M. V. Hugo.

Rare first edition, dedicated to Mr. Grandguillot, editor of "Le Pays", of this review of Victor Hugo's novel published the same year.

"Although we said the "first" and we still maintain that this publication of "Les Misérables" is, morally and socially, a bad action, we only "wanted" to examine it here as a literary work.
