TÔN-THÂT Tiêt (born 1933). Autograph musical manuscript, Poèmes for flute, viola and harp, 2004; 17 pages, 35.5 x 27 cm.
These Poèmes for flute, viola, harp, and Ca Trù trio (traditional Vietnamese music) were premiered at the CNR in Lyon on February 8, 2006 by the Ensemble Les Temps Modernes, which recorded them (Hortus 2006).
They are inspired by the poems of Li Po, a Chinese poet of the 8th century, and form a series of paintings, in the manner of classical Chinese painting, in a few strokes to evoke the communion of man with nature. The work lasts 12 minutes 30.
The manuscript is carefully written in Indian ink on 12-line paper (6 systems of 2 staves); it is initialed at the end and dated "St Maur 9/VII/2004"; a few corrections in tipex are noted.
The autograph manuscript of the flute and viola part (10 p.) is attached.
