These Deux Études were premiered by the pianist Nathalie Lanoë in 1993 at the FNAC auditorium in Ternes, Paris. They are titled: 1 Gravitations, marked Liberamente; 2 Focales, marked Con fuoco. The manuscript is carefully written in Indian ink on tracing paper; it is dated at the end "Marseille Satornay 1979/82".
