Alain BANCQUART (born 1934). Autograph musical manuscript, Érotique voilée for voice and instrumental ensemble, [1975]; [printed title] and 18 leaves (pag. 1-16+5' and 9') 37 x 27.5 cm. Cantata on a text by St. John of the Cross, premiered in 1975 at the Strasbourg Festival by soprano Marie-Claude Vallin and Studio III under the direction of Detlev Kieffer. The instrumental ensemble includes flute, clarinet, cymbalum, piano, 2 violins, viola, cello and double bass. The voice begins without words, then: "My beloved is like the mountains, like the lonely, wooded valleys"... The manuscript is carefully written down in Indian ink on tracing paper with 24 lines.
