Orchestral score of this Concerto for viola and orchestra, premiered in 1965 by the composer himself as soloist, and the Orchestre National de France conducted by André Girard The orchestra includes 2 flutes, oboe, English horn, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 4 horns, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, xylophone, celesta, timpani, and strings. The work is in three movements: I (pp. 3-47), II Lentement (pp. 48-53), III (which follows on from the previous one with an ad libitum ostinato from the viola) Final, marked Vif (pp. 54-77). The duration is about 20 minutes. The manuscript is carefully written in Indian ink on 32-line tracing paper. Attached is a page of the solo violin part (bars 70-82). It bears the mention : " Musique pour toi N° 6 ".
