Dark green morocco, black fillet between two gilt fillets framing the boards, spine decorated with a gilt composition and mosaic of orange morocco, gilt fillets and motifs inside, gilt edges, cover and spine preserved, case (J. Zendel). First edition printed at 555 copies, forming the 25th volume of the "original collection". It is illustrated with 83 black compositions in the text by Charles-Émile CARLÈGLE (1877-1937). One of the first 30 copies on japon, containing two original drawings by the artist (n° 17). A very fine copy bound by Joseph Zendel, enriched with two other original drawings in addition to the two mentioned in the justification. These four drawings are those of the vignettes on pages 33, 51, 84 and 87; they have been pasted on japon paper and placed opposite the corresponding illustrations.
